Description: Listening to vinyl records has always brought a whole new meaning to hearing music. The subtle changes of the notes and delicate nuances somehow do not make the translation to modern day dIgital music. In this piece the fluctuations of paint at the top and bottom represent the treble and base of the visual music in the painting, while the prominent “groove” represents the bands that you see on a vinyl record and the vibrations that produce the music. The painting gives the viewer a visual representation of listening to a vinyl record.
