Verve of Unreality

Verve of Unreality

Like minds are not alike. Impressions march through our brains like a never-ending parade, mutable by the whims of our five senses.

.

Impressionistically speaking, all art is symbolic of the individual creators conscious and subconscious, that are merged together by the artist’s psychic thinking. In other words, what you see is not always what you get.

.

Vision feeds the brain every second our eyes are open. Once those images hit the brain our unconscious mind takes all of that visual information from our conscious mind and starts to ameliorate or redraft all that seeing in very imaginative, and sometimes misunderstood ways.

.

As you visually engage with this oil painting of mine, you may find yourself in an inexplicable and enigmatic loss to know how to comprehend what you see before you. It’s not you and it’s not the artwork itself. It’s simply the inner workings of the human imagination constricting itself from artistic boundaries. Our imaginations have the masterful ability to conjure up visual realities that may not be honestly forthcoming. I earnestly invite you to feast and visually move on…

.

“Our conscious mind sees,

but our subconscious mind interprets realities

that are not capable of becoming words.”
